Artificial intelligence is a very wide term that can be applied to an extremely wide variety of applications:
- Forecasts of sales based on qualities of upcoming products
- Clusterization of target audience into small, understandable groups
- Planning of sales area in stores
- Analysis of effectiveness of an algorithm
- Many, many others
Basically, one can take artificial intelligence as an algorithm, that can be given some inputs and outputs (outputs are made by real people called assessors), and be taught to produce results on new inputs.
Imagine that you have pictures of some cars, and real people rate them from 1 to 10. Given the same pictures and historical rates, the algorithm can make new guesses and absolutely new pictures, and forecast what people will think.
