Google is launching a global expansion of AI Mode, its feature that allows users to ask complex questions and follow-ups to dig deeper on a topic directly within Search.

#3 – Apple Intelligence Receives Major Updates

Apple released significant Apple Intelligence enhancements across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro, marking the most comprehensive AI integration across Apple’s ecosystem to date. 

The September updates introduced Live Translation for real-time text and voice translation in Messages, FaceTime, and phone calls, enhanced Visual Intelligence with screenshot support and ChatGPT integration, and improved Genmoji creation, combining existing emojis with advanced AI capabilities. 

#4 – Meta Introduced Vibes AI Video Platform

According to Meta, as you browse the new feed, you’ll see AI-generated videos from both creators and other users. Over time, Meta’s algorithm will begin to show you personalized content.

You have the option to generate a video from scratch, or remix a video that you see on your feed. Before publishing, you can add new visuals, layer in music, and adjust styles. You can then post the video directly to the Vibes feed, DM it to others, or cross-post to Instagram and Facebook Stories and Reels.

#5 – SWIFT Implements Blockchain for 24/7 Cross-Border Payments

Swift announced plans to add a blockchain-based shared ledger to its global payments network to optimize cross-border transactions. 

According to a press release, Swift announced the move at the Sibos conference in Frankfurt on September 29, 2025. The platform said its initiative aims to enable instant, 24/7 cross-border transactions with unprecedented scalability.

The rollout of the blockchain ledger comes amid the growing embrace of crypto across the financial ecosystem. Companies like Ripple and its XRP target the cross-border payments market, and by connecting over 11,500 financial institutions across more than 200 countries, Swift may be eyeing a major shift.
